Ciao cycling fans! I hope you’re all well and enjoying some summery weather where you are (it’s roasting in the UK all of a sudden and I’m not used to it). It’s also great to see blue skies in Italy where as I’m sure you’re aware, the 107th Giro d’Italia is well underway.

Italy is stunning all year round but seeing it sparkling in the sunshine is a real treat, especially after last year where it seemed as though it was raining every day, and the muted tones of rain jackets merely added to the gloom. This year, the kits are resplendent, current race leader Tadej Pogačar has worn several shades of pink, and it’s been a dynamite first week of racing.

As far as the newsletter goes, I have two apologies to make: (1) It’s a bit late, sorry and (2) It’s not in its usual format - sorry again, been a bit crazy with this Italian race thingy. The newsletter in its regular format will be back with you next week, but until then I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to bring you the first two instalments of the digital magazine that myself and my excellent contributors have been putting together to enhance your Giro experience.

Relive the first six stages in the first two issues of ‘Il Giro Sette’ below.

If that wasn’t enough, and you prefer your race recaps in audio form, we’ve brought back the On Yer Bike podcast for its second year! Myself and co-host and producer Sanny Rudravajhala have been rounding up the action with daily analysis and chat in a digestible and fun format, with contributions from listeners along the way - do check it out if you feel so inclined, wherever you get your podcasts - here are a couple of links to get you started, hopefully one of these is useful to you!

Thanks for reading as always, and as always if you’d like to support this free content consider buying me a coffee.

Back with you next week for more Giro round-ups, and all the rest of the action from around the cycling world.

Arrivederci!

Katy
